Muscatine High School Symphony Orchestra

The MHS Symphony is comprised of the finest brass, woodwind, percussion and string players that MHS has to offer. Brass, woodwind and percussionists will be selected for the symphony by Mr. Heid and Mr. Plummer, while the string players must pass an audition with Mr. Thoma. String auditions are open to all string players, 9th-12th grade.

Rehearsals are every Wednesday and Friday morning in the MHS Band room. Mondays will be a sectional day (Sectional days will be announced as needed throughout the rehearsal process). Call time is 7:15am (which means in your seats, not arriving at MHS), and rehearsals run until 8:10am.

Auditions will be held the week of October 8-12. Results will be posted the following week and the first rehearsal will be October 22nd (which is a Monday). Symphony will run until Friday, March 1st, 2019.
